Martha Lloyd

Martha is married with two wonderful teenagers. She is a second-grade teacher in Durham Public School District.  Martha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas U.S.V.I. She also has a Master’s degree in Reading from the National University in San Diego, California.

In 1995, Martha played and received the MVP award for the Buccaneers Volleyball Team in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.  After college, she played on the women's national team in the British Virgin Islands for two years. Since moving to North Carolina in 2002, Martha has played in many co-ed and women's recreational in-door and sand volleyball leagues for a little over ten years in Durham, Apex, and Hillsborough area. From 2002-to 2010, Martha also coached the Middle School volleyball team at Research Triangle Academy.   

Her goal is to "provide the best possible coaching by teaching and allowing each player to develop volleyball fundamental skills and techniques."
